Live Edge Tables Built Around the Slab
A live edge table starts with the slab. The natural edge, the grain pattern, the knots, and the character of the wood determine the shape, size, and feel of the finished piece.
We build live edge tables, custom epoxy river tables, epoxy tables, dining tables, custom tables, coffee tables, and custom charcuterie boards from hand-selected hardwood slabs for homeowners across Ocean County, Monmouth County, Burlington County, Atlantic County, and the greater Philadelphia and New York City areas. Every slab is unique, and we let the wood's natural character guide the furniture design rather than forcing it into a standard shape. Epoxy work on river tables is done in house, with color-matched or clear resin poured and cured under controlled conditions. We handle slab flattening, table construction and installation, wood staining, and finishing so the piece arrives ready for your room.

Slab Selection
You choose the slab in person or we source one to your size and species preference. You see the actual wood before we start.
Design Planning
We plan the table dimensions, base style, and any epoxy work around the slab's natural shape, edge, and grain.
Slab Flattening
We flatten the slab to a true, even surface using a router jig, removing any warp, cup, or twist.
Epoxy & Fabrication
If the piece calls for it, we pour and cure the epoxy resin, then build the base and assemble the table.
Finishing
We sand the surface smooth and apply a finish that protects the wood and resin while bringing out the natural grain.
Delivery & Placement
We deliver the finished table and set it in your space, leveled and positioned where it was designed to go.
Live Edge & River Table FAQ
What's the difference between a live edge table and an epoxy river table?
A live edge table preserves the natural edge of the slab and builds the table around that shape. An epoxy river table uses two pieces of a slab separated by a pour of colored or clear epoxy resin that fills the gap and creates the "river" effect. We build both.
Can I come pick out the actual slab for my table?
Yes. We encourage it. Every slab has different grain, color, and character, and seeing it in person is the best way to choose the right one for your space.
How big of a live edge table can you build?
That depends on available slab inventory. We regularly build dining tables, conference tables, and custom tables in the 8 to 12 foot range, and larger is possible depending on the species and slab availability.
Can you build a live edge charcuterie board or serving piece, or do you only do large tables?
We build at every scale. Custom charcuterie boards, cutting boards, coffee tables, desks, dining tables, and conference tables are all normal projects. A smaller piece still gets the same slab selection and finish standard.
